Thai Massage is an ancient bodywork modality that has been taught and practiced in Thailand for over 2,500 years. Shivago Komarbhaccha, an Ayurvedic doctor and renowned Yogi is the founding father of Thai Massage. He shared his teachings with the Buddhist order of monks, which came to be known as Traditional Thai Medical Massage or "Nuat Thai", this ancient way can be translated to mean "The old Thai way of healing with the hands". Thai Massage also draws influence from Ayurvedic Indian massage.

Thai people have always considered Thai Massage as a vital and integral part of their health maintenance practices.
